  1. Hi,I from Argentina I'm seventeen, I agree with the video,is very interenting. Thanks for the information!

  2. The subject you talked about where kids lose the ability to "think outside the box" is interesting because I love studying Math and number theories. And there is an number theory that say that when we are children we think of things in linear aspects, ie 1-2-3-4-5, but right before we are sent into the education system (about 3 years old) we start to group things, ie 3-9-12-16. But after being sent to school, we lose that instict to group things in 3s because we are force taught that linear counting is the right way. Of course, if you think about math as a subject linear thinking is good but our human instinct tells us to group things because if you are being chased by 3 bears vs being chased by 9 bears, its obvious which is worse. But when you count the bears linearly, there could be 10 bears or there could be 11 bears, but you're still going to run for your life instead of counting to see which is worse.
Anyways, I think this would tie in with that in some way. Because we are taught to think in linear aspects in school we lose the ability to think "outside the box" and thus why being consider a "genius" becomes more rare as we get older.

  3. Thank you. "The tree which does not bring forth fruit is fit only for the fire. Strive night and day to change men into fruitful trees, virgin forests into divine orchards and deserts into rose gardens of significance…" – Baha'i Quote

  4. i differ with him on the definition of creativity at least. actually, by its nature and even my own definition, should there even really be one concrete, all-inclusive definition of creativity?

  5. I'm freshman under 'Seoul Women's University' in South Korea, and our English class (proposed for upgrading listening&speaking ability…. kind of obligation of our school for freshmen) ranged over this video. Students learned about Education more elaborately…. and it made girls to think about fundamental function of education. Almost none hesitated to participate and express opinion. I also saw Korean TV show few days ago…. it was a debate of two author based on a book written by Sir Ken Robinson.. it's really surprising nothing seems changed in education field, although World is changing drastically day by day….  maybe it's not only limited situation to Korea. how can we change paradigms and make come true our town, city, nation, word better for students to learn what they need and want? it is obvious adults need to search some better way…
